This includes, above all, cryptocurrencies based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinpro.ch\/en\/knowledge\/what-is-a-blockchain-basics-and-functionality\/\">blockchains<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinpro.ch\/en\/glossary\/dapp\/\">decentralized applications<\/a>, but also companies active in this area in a broader sense. The term <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinpro.ch\/en\/glossary\/defi\/\">DeFi<\/a> is often used as a synonym for New Finance. The opposite word is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinpro.ch\/en\/glossary\/tradfi\/\">TradFi<\/a>.   <\/p>\n<p>New Finance is characterized by increased personal responsibility of the user. The avoidance of central bodies and censorship resistance also play an important role.
