DeutschRekt is short for “get wrecked”, which means “destroyed” or “failed”. Investors in the crypto space are considered “rekt” if, for example, they suffer a total loss as a result of a scam incident. Exit scams often occur, in which the developers of a project disappear with the investors’ money. To protect themselves from such a scenario, investors should thoroughly research the development team and not invest in projects that promise disproportionately high returns.
