Maker Fee

The maker fee is the fee that is due on many crypto exchanges when buy or sell orders are placed in the order book/order table. The amount varies depending on the provider and often depends on turnover, among other things.

The maker fee is always charged when you give the crypto exchange liquidity. Otherwise, the taker fee is charged. The taker fee is usually slightly higher, as you withdraw liquidity from the crypto exchange when placing an order with a taker fee. This is because in these cases you use a buy or sell order from the order book.
