Nick Szabo: Bit Gold and Smart Contracts
In 1998, Szabo had already published an initial draft called “Bit Gold”, although he never implemented this protocol. Meanwhile, Szabo himself developed the concept of Smart Contracts, on which, for example, Ethereum was very strongly based. Among others, Elon Musk also thinks that Nick Szabo is the inventor of Bitcoin. However, Szabo himself has not confirmed this, which is why the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is still unclear.
